The most common causes for a tinnitus
headache:
Stress: The most common cause of tinnitus headaches is
stress and anxiety, which is difficult to cure, being that the symptom of constant ringing is what's causing
the stress. In order to alleviate the stress, the following therapies can be used. Relaxation therapy,
yoga, hypnosis, meditation, and massage.
Sleep: Lack of sleep can be another cause of a tinnitus
headache. Many tinnitus sufferers don't get adequate sleep anyway due to the constant ringing. There is one method
that has been successful at helping tinnitus sufferers get a good night's sleep. It's called masking. Masking is
simply the use of any device which emits a sound that helps cover up the ringing or buzzing sound that
tinnitus sufferers experience. Many people use their CD or I-Pods to play relaxing music or nature sounds to drown
out the noises and help them fall asleep.
Diet: If you drink a
lot of caffeinated beverages or alcohol, you might be prone to experiencing a headache caused by tinnitus.
Sensitivity to certain foods might also bring on a bout. So, it would be wise to pay attention to what you're
putting into your body prior to the onset of symptoms and eliminate what you think may be the cause.

Treatments:
Acupressure: There is a pressure point located in the space
between your thumb and index finger that could help in easing the pounding in your head. You can apply pressure to
this area by gently squeezing with the thumb and index finger from your opposite hand.
Drink Water: Whenever you feel a tinnitus headache coming on, try
drinking more water. Your headache could be caused by dehydration.
Try Aromatherapy: Dab a little peppermint oil on both temples and the back of your neck. Peppermint is known
to be a powerful pain reliever.
Take a Bath: You might be able to get some headache relief from
tinnitus by taking a hot bath or applying a heating pad to your neck. This can help loosen the tightened
muscles caused by tension and stress.
Ginkgo Biloba: Not only is Gingko beneficial
for tinnitus sufferers but it has also been known to cure tinnitus
headaches.
Tea: Peppermint, chamomile, Marjoram, Cinnamon,
and Valerian. These herbal teas have been proven to reduce stress
and anxiety.
Mild exercise: Some people find relief in performing mild
exercises.
Wearing a magnetic bracelet: I haven’t tried it myself but some
people swear that it works. You can find these at most of your local health food stores.
I hope you can find some relief in some of these headache remedies
